Default Has anyone tried Overeater's Anonymous?

Like so many others, the years of yo-yo dieting, low-fat preaching, weight gain, overexercising, and couch potato marathons, etc. have really driven me to the point where I think I would benefit from some form of support(other than this forum, of course).

Has anyone tried Overeater's Anonymous as a way of getting added support?

Yes, in years past I have dropped in a few OA meetings. To me they were somewhat intense but I think that has a lot to do the the individual group's "personality".

I believe they encourage a no sugar/white flour program as one of the many options for acheiving "abstinence". And this certainly goes hand in hand with Atkins.

Give it a try! You have nothing to lose and if you don't like it you don't have to go back. One neat thing is you only use first names; they strive to keep things confidential. Bring a buddy for sure!
