Sometimes when I add smilies to my post, it deletes everything I've already written and puts the smilie at the beginning. Anyone know how to fix this?

Do you use Netscape?

Make sure you don't highlight text before clicking on those smilies. I'm not sure why, but this happens on Netscape. In addition, sometime it doesn't delete anything, it just hides it, by clicking on preview, you can see the text.

Come to think of it this does only happen on the piece of junk computer at work that only has netscape and crashes ALL THE TIME.

I have a pretty good computer and have "Cable high speed internet", and this happens to me all the time. Sometimes it wipes out stuff that has taken great thought, and time to write. Makes me crazy! and I just quit.... and shut off my computer frustrated at the loss.

If this is a frequently-occurring problem for you, you may wish to consider using a text editor such as Windows Notepad to do your composition, then Select All, Copy and Paste it into your response. That will prevent the loss, unless of course, your computer crashes and you have not saved out the Notepad file.
