I don't know if anyone else has ever thought about this, but I often find myself wishing that you could sort new posts (or old posts, for that matter) alphabetically by clicking on "thread", "posted by", "in forum", and so on. I often have to scan through lots of journal posts to find the Atkins posts, etc. Sorting by "posted by" would make it easy to find new posts by a particular member as well. Just a suggestion...if it's already possible to do this, let me know. Thanks!

Yes, you can do this right now through the search page, where you enter the member's name as author, and select the forum and time frame.

Or go to the section of the forum that interests you (choose Atkins from the pull down Forum Jump menu below every thread) and each new message will have a little icon beside it. You click on the arrow and it will take you to the first post you haven't read in any thread.

I don't usually look for particular member's posts, but I'd like to be able to sort all posts by forum in the new posts listing. That's not possible at the moment, is it?

No, not available through the "new posts" link. However, if we visit the specific forum you're interested in, the new posts be sorted with the newest on the top, and will have a different colour, to indicate if there are new posts.
