They saw me every day in May, June, and July, and then in early September I was completely different. I lost 20 more pounds by March, when I started having my first difficulties. I didn't mean to go low-carb: I just stopped overeating and started eating fresher foods, and since that meant less canned chili and more green salads, I lost a hundred pounds on accident. (I was eating to avoid SALT. ) Right when I hit a plateau I learned about low carb from Gary Taubes, and that made my rapid loss make sense. Unfortunately I've been up and down since, but I'm getting better at rooting out the offending carbs in my diet, and right now I am at my lowest ever. My immediate goal is still to get under 200, and then I'll get to 185 (the suggested weight for my height) if I can.
