Default Weird Thing

Lately I have been waking up but for a long while I am unable to open my eyes or move any part of my body. The other day it freaked me out because I have a sinus condition and I needed to clear my throat and couldn't and I began to choke by the time I could use my body I was gasping for air. Today I wake up and can only open one eye and not move any other body part for long time. What is going on?

I don't know but you need to see a doctor RIGHT AWAY! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! What if the next time you CAN'T breathe at all? How about going to the ER tonight?

Don't fool around with something that affects your breathing!

It sounds like you are experiencing sleep paralysis. A point where your body is still in it's sleep induced paralysis (which keeps you from acting out your dreams) but your mind wakes up. Here is an artical ABC news did on it...

http://abcnews.go.com/sections/livi...ysis990411.html

There are tons of sites, just search for sleep paralysis. It is fairly common, believe it or not. I've experienced it only three times, but some people deal with it regularly. They are also referred to as night terrors.

But I agree with BarB.... see your doctor to make sure.
