Exclamation Bummed

Hello everyone from the frozen tundra of Iowa we are a -24 degree's today!

I have done atkins before and lost 47lbs. Then I took a retail position and my schedule went out of control. No time to excersise and the food we were given was pizza. Anyway, so I gained about 30lbs last year.. YUP 30 if I was really being honest.. I started at 155 and hit 187 my top weight for the year.. so really that is 32lbs. So, now I have a set schedule again and I am headed back on my journey. It's just this time I am not losing as fast and it is getting annoying! Highley. I started at 185 and I am down to 178 ..is that good? I mean I started Jan 1st that is 16 days and 7lbs....I wish it was more. I do work out not regularly. Maybe I should step up the excersise and I can not stop drinking diet coke this time. Can anyone kick me in the butt and get me motivated!

I started back the first of the year also and have only lost 5, so much slower this time. So I cut out more carbs and adding more fat!! So yeah maybe I could exercise some, but doesnt chasing a 3 year old around count as cardio? hehe
I will kick you if you can kick me right back!!

binalis--What a sense of humor! Welcome! You are by no means getting old. I am 38, how old does that sound? And I go in about 10 days to see if I too am hypothyroid. So, older than you and hypo (possibly) too. I have 2 strikes against me right there. But I am certainly trying.

Welcome! I did that too, 7 pounds the first 2 weeks. I was disappointed, given how much I have to lose, but hey, it's something, and clothes feel a bit looser, and I can breathe better.... Hang in there, and you'll do fine.

Meg

The first time I low carbed, the weight came off relatively easily.
After 3 kids and 3 MORE re-starts to Low Carb, I find that it is slower and slower each time.

It sounds to me like you're doing just fine.

For me, after the first few pounds lost over the first couple of weeks, I can expect a weight loss of about 1 to 2 pounds per MONTH.
It's still better than the other direction, right?

Good luck binalis, I know you can do it. Hey, I lost 80 lbs. on Atkins before, then I gained it all back. Ooooh that sucked. I'm gonna lose it again and it's gonna be hard work but I'll stick to it if you will.
