Question Pork Rinds have corn syrup solids?!

Went to the store today to buy some pork rinds to snack on. I read the package of salt and vinegar flavor and it said "0 carbs". After happily munching on them a while I looked at the ingredients and one of them is "corn syrup solids". Isn't this a form of sugar? How can they have zero carbs and contain cron syrup?

I was wondering the same thing today about a 0 grams/serving lc salad dressing that lists sugar as one of the ingredients. I imagine that the trace amounts of it in the package are negligible for each serving and that is why it might indicated "0" grams. I think it would be more accurate to put "<1" but maybe there is something I am missing too. It does seem odd.

How big is a serving?

In the USA, a food that is under 1 gram of carbohydrate per serving can be listed as 0. It's the manufacturer that decides on what a serving is.
