Default Creatine and hair loss?

I have performed some research and came up with no real answer on this. But I am asking because in the past 3 weeks I have noticed some hair loss.....and have been taking creatine for about 4.5 weeks. Has anybody else experienced this? Is it possible as well it has more to do with the fact I exercise 6 days per week? Just cuerious because I am only 23 years old and have no family history of baldness!

I've done quite a bit of research into the side effects of creatine monohydrate. Hair loss isn't one of the effects that I've read about *anywhere*. Most of the side effects seem to be gastrointestinal - bloating & diarrhea.

If you are exercising hard your body could be producing more testosterone, a by-product of which (dihydrotestosterone?) is responsible for male pattern baldness.

It is possible that you are beginning to experience male pattern baldness. It frequently begins to be apparent at your age.

I train six days a week and have been taking creatine for about 3 months. Have not experienced any hair loss, I'm 35.

Appreciate the replies. Hopefully this is just a temporary thing

Another thing came to mind... it could be stress-related. I've known many folks who have suffered significant temporary hair loss due to stress.

Best wishes,
Mark
