Question Ross Chocolates

Hi All!

I have been treating myself to Ross Chocolates lately and am quite enjoying them. I buy them at Cooper's Market in Port Coquitlam. They usually cost $1.78 a bar (although they were on sale this week for $1.58).

Has anyone seen the Ross Chocolate bars any cheaper than what I am currently paying?

Thanks for any info!

You are paying about the right price. I have paid as high as $1.99 for them, The cheapest place I have found is Shoppers DrugMart, about $1.69. In the end very little difference, but they are one of the best bars.

Thank you both! It's nice to get a comparative...especially when it comes to paying the high cost of LC foods.

Just for the record, my N/s chocolate is the only thing I buy for my low carb way of eating. When I began I just refused to buy any special foods, thinking that I would be tied to those over priced, over rated Items.
So for me it's been real food only all the way. It's worked well for me, $$ and weight loss, :>)

Cheers Kathy

In pinch I can get them at other grocery stores for $1.99

Pascale, I have looked at Walmart every time I have been in there and I have never found Ross bars or the Peanut butter cups. Where are they hiding?

I've never seen any LC items in Walmart except for the Sorbee stuff by the pharmacy. The Sorbee maple syrup is much better than the Atkins stuff, but the rest of it is just vile.

The PB cups & Atkins bars are on the pharmacy counter, the Ross Chocolate bars are with the diabetic candy in the same aisle as the slim fast stuff, bottom shelf. If you can't find it ask the Pharmacy clerks

Thanks Pascale. I have never looked at the pharmacy counter but I have looked in the aisle with the slim fast stuff and never seen them. I will try again.

Check out location of Alive Health Centres. There's a lot of them in the Lower Mainland but I think the closest one to you is 2929 Barnet Highway. Their pricing works like this:

$1.79 a bar
No tax if you buy 6 or more

Buy a box (you can mix them) and you will save 10% plus no tax. If my calculations are correct that should make it $1.61 a bar.

On the 1st Tuesday (I think) of each month you can get 15% off any regular priced items (including the chocolate). I don't think you get the tax off it in that case, though.

A bit confusing, but I like that you can mix and match the flavours when buying a box. Saving the tax makes a huge difference. I'm not sure if every store has the same pricing policy, but that's how it is at the location I go to.

I think Ross chocolate is as good as it gets (except the raspberry flavour...).

Cheers.

If any of you are "ebay.ca" fans, you might want to check out the Ross bars available. There is a person in NB who regularly sells the bars --- and if you bid on a "buy it now" large order (e.g., 75-100 bars), you can get them for less than $1.70 per bar including shipping and she will let you choose the types/number of bars you want. Worked just fine for me.
Regards
