WTG on the workouts last week, Toots! These things become more and more routine with every week under your belt.

I don't think I'd ever seen your measurements before, wow, you've done great! MY gawd, you've lost 11" off your tummy! That's something to shout about! As for TOM, it's temporary I've found the best time to measure is right after the tiny bloat of ovulation (if you get that bloat - some of us don't).

Question for you - when you do the bike and the LBWO which do you do first? You might find doing the bike first helps warm up the muscles so that doing the weights is easier. Lifting with warmed up muscles is always preferable to cold ones - makes for less injuries and less pain when recovering. Stretching afterward is also highly recommended

As for the Glutamine - I'm pretty sure I answered in my journal (lord know on what page), but yes, it's best to take it post workout.

I posted something in General Exercise on Cortisol today that you might find helpful sorting all this supplement / exercise stuff out

Nat

Nat,

I do the exercise bike first. I really wasn't sure why...but, I'm glad I've done it in that order. I need to take a trip over to your journal to see some of your updated tips

Thanks for stopping by!

Did my upper body workout today...broke the session up for a bit just to take it easy and rest. But, I still did one set of 10 for each exercise. No cardio today...just couldn't get myself to the gym. Hoping to get the cardio in with my lower body workout tomorrow.

Did my lower body workout today from home. Only did one set of 10 of each exercise with a 15 second rest between each set. Did not do my cardio workout yet...it's pouring here, I'm really sore and I don't feel like going to the gym (I know...bad excuse). Anyway, I will see how the days goes. Happy I got the LB workout in

Worked out 3 days last week and then on Sunday to complete 4 sessions. This will be the first month that I've gotten in 4 days of workouts per week (except last week...so, I'll try to do 5 this week).

Today's exersices were:
20 Minute Exercise Bike ( Cardio)

Weight Training:
Chest
Flat Press
Incline Press
Incline Flye
Cross-bench pullover

Shoulders
Side Lateral Raise
Front Lateral Raise
Alternate Shoulder Press
Bent Lateral Raise

Biceps
Alternate Curl
Simultaneous Curl
altenate Hammer Curl
Concentration Curl

Triceps
Overhead Press
kickback
One arm overhead Extension
Cross-Face Extension

Back
Upright row
One arm dombbell row
Double-arm reverse row
Seated Back lateral

Upper Body Workout included 2 set's (yay) of 10 of each exercise with 2 pound weights. I'm still trying to be very gentle with myself and my body... so, no pushing and no going up in weights yet. g-e-n-t-l-e is the key.

I talked with a personal trainer and will have a consultation on Saturday. My body fat will be measured professionally instead of trying to compute by the numbers.

This may be a horrible surprise

But it should be pretty accurate.

Linda,

Still doing Joyce's program (for now). I should also be starting with a personl trainer next week. If I'm going to commit to working out, it would be nice to know that I'm doing the exercises right. February was a great month in terms of exercising. I worked out up to 4 times a week. I haven't had a month like that in a long time! So, my fingers are crossed that March will be the same
