Talking WOW, this is the greatest.......

Hula girl WAY TO GO on the 3 pounds gone do you really think it could be the low carbing and exercise, do ya, LOL,LOL...

Sally yes my friend you are being such a wonderful helper for Cher. I have been amazed just how this has grown.

So far my day has been cheat free. Did go exercise this morning and found out that now on Monday, wednesday and Fridays they will open up at 8 a.m. instead of the usual 9 a.m.

Need some info on fiber. My bestfriend said that she had read that the best thing for helping in losing weight is fiber, does anyone have any info????

For lunch today had some stuffed celery with the hot dip and some canadian bacon.
For dinner tonight, Hamburger pattie, with fried onions in butter and a salad with Kraft 3 cheese dressing, Yummmmmmmie.

Hey everyone!

You are all doing awesome! I envy those of you who exercise...I have a hard time fitting it in my day...I have been busy with home renovations....tiling the bathroom floor today...only 4 tiles left to cut! Yee haw! Have guests from Germany arriving on Monday...and no bathroom yet! Yikes!

I just found out that my DH's 25th class reunion is being held on Labor Day weekend....even more incentive to not cheat....you guys are great!
We can do this together!
Can't wait to see what our total losses equal.
That flavored water is called Fruit 2 O in our parts and it is really good....I have about 1 a day and water the rest...it is a nice treat and no aspartame....just Splenda...I haven't noticed any stalls or anything when I drink it, and it tastes good...even my skinny DH thinks it is pretty good..and he never drinks diet anything!
Meat eatin and no cheatin!

No cheating here either..............YEAHHHHHH.

Todays menu:

Half a cup of Flax-O-Meal w/splash of heavy cream, butter and 1 splenda.
Shrimp and veggies for lunch.
Macademian nuts for a snack.
Atkins shake for a snack w/cream.
2 hard boiled eggs and another protien shake for dinner.

The bad thing is I had 3 cups of coffee today. Just can't seem to give that up.

Worked out 30 minutes in the morning and an hour of jazzercise tonight.

That's okay Tanya ... I'm lucky that I can have coffee (not overboard), on my "plan" (if that's what you could call it... it works can't complain ) but I know I wouldn't be able to give it up either ...

Thanks Sally, I love my coffee. But I do have a confession, I use creamer, non-dairy kind, just can't stop, it makes it so creammy and good. Oh h**l, now you all know my secret....LOL.

wednesday morning beginning day 4 of no cheat till labor day. Had a very good day yesterday. The weather has cooled up and is it wonderful. Going out to exercise this morning.
Breakfast Candian bacon, 2 crisp strips bacon, 2 eggs fried in butter. Drank 48 ozs. of water. Need to run. So happy to see so many going for the no cheat till Labor Day. Love to all joan

I am so glad to see all of us doing so well. I weigh myself today and I am 151 lbs. So this water retention is going down finally. I had only 4 carbs yestersday. I drank 128 oz of water, 2 cups of coffee and 2 cup of decaffinated tea. I fix a large roast in the slow cooker and couldn't quit eating meat. Joan here is a list for fiberous foods that I found when I started Atkins.
Yes, you can deduct the fiber grams from your carb counts. Pretty much all the plan authors now agree on that point. I do believe it is useful to complete an Atkins induction period before implementing this practice, however, and as with anything, YMMV (Your mileage may vary).

THE ABC'S OF HIGH FIBER

Asparagus (8 spears=2g fiber/3g carbs)

Broccoli (1cup=5g fiber/3g net carbs)

Cauliflower (1cup=3g fiber/2g net carbs)

Dill Pickle (1=0.5g fiber/2g net carbs)

Eggplant (1cup=2.5g fiber/4g net carbs)

Fancy salad (1cup=1.5g fiber/1g net carbs)

Green beans (1cup=4g fiber/3g net carbs)

Hazlenuts (1oz=1.5g fiber/1g net carbs)

It's Celery (2 sticks=1g fiber/2g carbs)

Just Some Strawberries (1/2 cup=1.5g fiber/3.5g net carbs)

Kiwifruit (1=2.5g fiber/8.5g net carbs)

Lettuce (2 cups=1.5g fiber/1.5g net carbs)

Mushrooms (1cup=3g fiber/5g net carbs)

Nuts, mixed (1/2 cup=6g fiber/11g net carbs)

Olives (10 olives=1g fiber/1g net carbs)

Peanuts (1/2 cup = 6g fiber/5.5g net carbs)

Queenly Macadamia Nuts (1/2 cup=5g fiber/3.5g net carbs)

Raspberries (1/2 cup=4g fiber/3g net carbs)

Spinach (1cup cooked=4g fiber/2g net carbs)

Tomato (1=1.5g fiber/4g net carbs)

Ultimate Bamboo Shoots (1 cup=1g fiber/1g net carbs)

Very Festive Cranberries (1/2 cup=2g fiber/4g net carbs)

Walnuts (1/2 cup=4g fiber/4g net carbs)

Xtra Pecans (1 cup=10g fiber/4g net carbs)

I hope this help get more fiber in your diet. I no I need to get more in my again.
Carol, I see you are still busy with repairs and I know you well be done before Monday. Exercise, girl you are getting tons with farm chores and home repairs. I am proud of you.
Tonya and Princesspp, I am glad I can have coffee too. It really help me get the day started right. I drink mine black but if I have dessert I use DeVinc's syrup and creamer and I could drink a pot full .

Default What day is this of the no cheat?

I'm all confused... cause I'm still counting my Atkins induction days and now this. Is this day 4? I started on Sunday or was it Monday? Is confusion a part of Atkins??!!!

The important part is I've not cheated! I'm also down one pound. So... I'm a happy camper. But, I did make my DH hide my scale from me. He has been asked not to give it back until Friday... then he must promptly hide it again!!! It's my new pact with myself not weigh but once per week.

Brief rundown of foods yesterday:
B: 2 Eggs 3 slices bacon
L: 1 slice ATKINS low-carb bread (3 carbs), with Turkey/Cheese
D: Italian Sausage and Mozzarella, Mushrooms, (fake like pizza)
S: Jello with Whipped Cream

Today: So far 1 Slim Jim Beef Jerky, (about to eat breakfast).
