That's okay Judy, we figured it was a family thing. Totally understandable.

Here's to next time!

Talking Toronto LC Group

Hi Toronto LCer's. I'm new to LC but used to follow LC for many years. Never gained weight till 7 years ago when I went out of my mind and started having ice cream etc. every day. Guess I sort of forgot what I was doing!! Anyway, I don't cheat at all during the week but once and while I'm going to Starbucks for a latte, what the hell. Only Live once. If anyone in TO want to get togeather sometime send me an e-mail. BTW, I'm a 52 year old female (in case you care) Bye for now Nancy

Hi Nancy,

Welcome to the list!

If you'd like to get together with us, just stay tuned to the list and listen for details, OK?

As for ice-cream, there is apparently a low-carb ice cream on the market now, well at least in the states. It's called "Le Carb".
They carbs per serving are around 6, with two of them from malitol and other low-impact sugar substitues.

Nancy - if you want an icecream treat - use real whipping cream and spenda - whip it all up, add some crushed strawberries (or whatever you'd like) and freeze it. Because we can't have too much cream, I put mine in small silver muffin containers - it gives you a nice taste treat and you're not having too much either.

Default Curves For Women

Hi fellow Torontonians - If anyone is interested in joining Curves for Women (it's a 30 minute weight training / resistance class) http://www.curvesforwomen.ca/intro.htm, they are opening a studio at Bayview and Eglinton on October 31st. I've read some threads, both positive & negative, but 30 minutes is a good plan for a lunch class.

I go to Curves out in Mississauga and I love it. 30 minute workout that's both cardio and strength-training. Very friendly and suppportive atmosphere.

Hi Vikki,
I pay about $42/month including tax. There may or may not be an initiation fee. I paid about $75.
For me, it's money well spent because I can't go to a regular gym due to time constraints.
My gym is currently running a weight-loss class. My babysitter is going. It is low-carb.

Alena - thank you so much for the information. That is a small price to pay for health and looking good. I can't wait for it to open to start a routine.

Hi everyone!
Yay for Toronto!

Anyway, I am actually in Whitby, but hate divulging such personal info! But what the heck.....

I'm not that far, but as a starving student, gas is expensive! I will live vicariously through your meetings and hopefully meet with you one of these days!
We can all go out for a nice salad! haha

Keep in touch!

Sincerely,
Christina

Hi - I'm still very active and love low carbing. Maybe after Christmas we can get a group together. I know someone tried it before, but it was a bust. Maybe there'll be more interest after Christmas, if anything just to compare war stories from the festive season.

Sounds great Vikki, though I may have to sit in a BOOTH seat! LOL
War stories will be abundant, I'm sure!

Cool I'm Still Here!

I'm still around, although I'm not reading messages on this board.

I get notifications on this thread, so that's how I've re-appeared.

I'd be interested, and I sill have a few email addresses of the people who originally said they wanted to get together.

I'm still low-carbing and doing well, thankfully.

Hope to meet up soon,
Chris
