Was doing pretty good up until late at night and started snacking while grading. Had planned to do a long walk to get me over the goal, but at 2am with only two hours before I had to get up, I called it a day.

Still, a decent deficit. But I definitely took my eye off the prize.

I've decided to grade each round as follows:
9,10 = A
8 = B
7 = C
5,6 = D
<5 = F

I think if I am on target half the time, I will still likely make overall progress.

In addition to the base letter grade, if ANY day has a negative calorie deficit, I get a '-', else if EVERY day has at least a 500 kcal deficit, I get a '+'. So, yes, I can get an F+ or F-.

I'm confused. 🤔 Did I count wrong? My tally shows one more day to finish the ten day cycle..... I'm known to mix up my days and loose a day. Today is Saturday, right?

Nope. It's Saturday. Looks like I've messed up somewhere. I'll have to get on my other machine and figure out what. Then I'll update my post to reflect the fix.

FIXED. I thought I had missed a day posting, which seemed odd. I've gone back and corrected all the affected posts. Now I need to patch my journal, but that's a much bigger headache.

It's really no biggie......I live with brain damage and along the way just accepted data would be wonky sometimes." Leave it and move on. " became the easiest solution.

When I blow it, I blow it big! The price: I'm up 6 lb today.

But if you look at the last three days, all of which were "bad", the total calorie overage for all three combined was only 336 kcal, or just 112 kcal/day. So this is a blip. Overall for Round 1 I averaged just over 1600 kcal/day, which is right what I need to make goal by the end of the year. So, yeah, I blew it yesterday and the two days prior weren't anything to shout about, but a C- is still a passing grade!

This ten-day increment look at calories has unexpected benefits. It forces me to put the numbers into an intermediate range perspective that is good. A few bad days isn't that big a deal. I'm still on track, regardless of what the scale happens to claim this morning. That will work itself out.

None-the-less, today starts a new round and I've got to get my eye back on the prize.

I'm still here. Incredibly busy few days. Had to take advantage of a dry spell to repair the driveway so it's usable. Which required time, labor, and moving around a lot of 80lb bags of Qwikrete. But it is done. I have had a good weekend as long as today continues as planned. I've actually had a good diet weekend for the first time in over a year. I earned my bonus points.

Still haven't weighed yet. Not ready. But I'll do it soon. And I need to stop procrastinating and change the batteries in the scale so that it works.


MY PLAN:
A modified ADF Protocol (stay in them calories, lady) and exercise.
Bonus points for actually sticking to plan right on the weekends to solidly form the habit.
