Vitamin A is one thing I think I'm not getting enough of because of LC, since not eating carrots or sweet potatoes. Liver is a good source which I try to eat every couple of weeks.
Livers are the best source for vitamin A. Carrots and sweet potatoes AREN'T sources of vitamin A but of beta carotene which must then be converted to vitamin A by the body...if you are over 45 most likely your bodye cannot so those sources are useless.
Time to get liverwurst from the deli again. That, I can do
yeah I do that too. Periodically go out and get a 1/4 pound of liverwurst. I love liverwurst and itís perfectly sized to have in a chaffle if I want also. The deli used to carry smoked liverwurst which was especially good, but now they just carry the plain, but also good.
They also sell it prepackaged in the area with lunch meats. I almost like that better because of the the nutritional info on the pkg. Because it's processed, a lot of it might have added filler carbs and sugar, so I look for that.
