I'm headed out for a long weekend away and won't be back until Monday. My intent is to stay on plan as much as I can, but it's one of those weekends with lots of wine and eating out for every meal. In the meantime, I'll be cheering all of you on!

Posting the bad news in keeping accountable--gained 9 lbs. in only 4.5 weeks due to a new medication and stress-eating.

Going2 medications can be awful. When I went on a blood pressure medication I got awful low blood pressure and similar wt gain. I was taking it for heart arrythmia and stopped taking it. All the drs said I couldn't do it, but the arrythmia went away.

I wanted to pretend I didn't over eat yesterday, but I did and there are consequences.

I had a mild anaphylactic reaction to a shot yesterday and I'm all bloated up.

Oh, it was no big deal. It's worth it because I am getting desensitization shots for venom allergy which is what I reacted to (mildly!). At the end, I'll have a 95% chance of being desensitized. I work outside so this is a big deal.

I see. I'm hoping I can get that too. I have reactions to fragrance that go into asthma attacks. Not sure if it's allergic or just a sensitivity.

There is allergic asthma, I know. I have a rough time with fragrance but it doesn't affect my breathing at all (I get headaches instead). This one was a little throat closing but lots of sense of doom and intense nausea. I'm hoping it doesn't happen again - this was the first time and I've been doing weekly shots for awhile - because they will have to stop the shots.

I can throat closing up would ramp up the adrenaline, nausea at the same time - awful! I wish you the best.

Luckily it's the adrenaline that stops the reaction. Epinephrine is just synthetic adrenaline for when your own system is overwhelmed. But all of that adrenaline release can be inflammatory. The nausea is a separate symptom from the throat closing. I can have both together or each one without the other. Allergies are so weird!
