I tried fasting yesterday but couldn't sleep, woke up 3 am and ate some 0 carb meat and slept fine.

Darn, I didn't cheat at all and I even ate out at Luna Grill for lunch and had chicken salad, hold the bread.

I had to wake up a few hours early and I'm wearing a sweatshirt because it's getting cold.

I have no energy today. I took my temp 97.0. I think this is thyroid related. Can not getting enough sleep change your thyroid levels?

I know I ask too much, just pondering the situation.

I found an interesting study about this on the NIH website.

Changes in Serum TSH and Free T4 during Human Sleep Restriction

Intervention:
Randomized exposure to 14 days of sedentary living with ad libitum food intake and 5.5- vs. 8.5-h overnight sleep opportunity.

Measurements and Results:
Serum thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) and free thyroxine (T4) were measured at the end of each intervention. Partial sleep restriction was accompanied by a modest but statistically significant reduction in TSH and free T4, seen mainly in the female participants of the study.
