It could have been— I think the learning is what everyone said, above and also that it triggered cravings. That could take you down a scary path...

I do a similar treat about once a month and I consider it on-plan but there are 3 differences:
1. My ingredients are 1/2 cup of liquid whipping cream (prob pretty close to the 6 tablespoons I guess), 3 tsp cocoa powder... but I use 1/2 of 1 packet of Splenda (after two years low carb, that is sweet enough)
2. I’m on a later stage of Atkins and I’ve got pretty good evidence that dairy doesn’t stall me or trigger cravings
3. That small amount of AS doesn’t trigger cravings for me

So yes, I think this could be an on-plan treat once you know how your body reacts.

Hi Barb, I always have trouble deciding whether I am really hungry, or just WANT SOMETHING. One of my tricks (especially at night when DH is making popcorn) is to tell myself that my night snacks are a couple of scrambled eggs or a salad. If I am not hungry enough to eat either of those items, then it is not hunger, just a bad craving.

If I really can't shake it, I will have a tablespoon of cream cheese OR if I am really craving, a tablespoon or two of cream cheese with a dash of vanilla and one Splenda pkt. (It tastes like cheesecake) If you are looking for crunch, take a slice of American cheese and cut into small squares and microwave until lightly browned---tastes like Cheese-its. The key is to get right back on plan ASAP. You'll be fine.

Be kind to yourself! That was like a binge of 75-80 calories in carbs! That might actually be the lowest binge in the history of mankind! If I had binges like that I would be skinny! Could I say Binge any more times! Oops just binged on the word Binge!
