I am planning meals and snacks

I can't eat snacks because then I'll be grazing all day. So not worth it. Eating one or two meals a day with no snacks works best for me. However, we are all different.

Yeah, I tend to eat small, more frequent, but planned meals. Meals, snacks, whatever we want to call them. Calories are between 200-400 each throughout the day. The key is to ensure dinner is small as well, which used to be my downfall.

Why don't you want toxic people in your life? I love toxic people. They provide so much perspective on who I don't want to be and how much better my life really is. Of course I was blessed with the ability to not care what those people think or say, so I am really just an observer watching them ride their crazy trains.

LOL, 1791! Last year, when I was slowly extracting myself from certain volunteer boards, it was kinda like an out of body experience. Like a fly on the wall. I was watching individual people yammering about who cares. The egos. Just to hear themselves talk.... Also, sadly, I've reduced my time spent with my mom. I won't go into details. Let's just say it's better and healthier for me this way.

Also, I should add: I've been reducing my time on my smart phone before and after work. Social media and a certain word game with friends are time suckers for me. I allow myself XX in the morning and again at night. The goal is to be in our home gym exercising by 6PM in the evenings. It's been working out really well!

How was everyone's weekend? I had a mini-win: Didn't turn on the TV until 6PM yesterday. Had XM radio on instead set to the 60's and 70's channel. Good times! Perfect tunes to clean house, bake and cook to. Mock tater salad, lc snickerdoodles and macaroons, boiled and processed eggs, etc.

Congrats on the mini-win!

One of my baby girls had a b-day this weekend so my house was filled with awful [and by awful I mean delicious] sugar and flour filled foods. Fortunately my beloved wife came to the rescue with lots of low carb options to fill any voids. Not that I was ever really tempted.

1791, now THAT'S a good wife! So glad you had options. Thought of you today: Went to the doc, and after I picked out a Batman sticker. Middle-aged, but still a kid at heart.

Adding: BP is within a normal range, waiting for blood test results. Nothing major, just there for my annual check-up.

Here I am some 5 weeks in to low-carb high-fat eating and for some reason I am still overweight. I can't explain it. How long is this fat burning supposed to take!?

I recently had to attend an all day presentation starting at 8am. The topic and the presenter were about as exciting as a bucket of sand. I got there, settled in and the program began. While I did provide the minimal attention the program required, my mind drifted to 5pm. I imagined where I would be and what life would be like at 5pm. I went into a sort of cerebral cruise control. That is where I am at with this LCHF lifestyle as it pertains to losing weight. There will be a lot of time between getting started and reaching long term goals, so I am just sticking with the plan and letting the calendar turn. In the mean time I have other aspects of my life to focus on and enjoy.

Nice attitude, 1791! Agreed. I decided yesterday the days are flying by which we cannot control. We CAN, however, control the way we manage our lifestyles.
