Even just water, eggs and blender and the sliminess goes away. A little cream and a touch of splenda, and it's pretty milkish.

To be honest if I could get my hands on fish that had not been frozen before being sold to me as fresh I might worry about it. But my understanding is the worms and parasite issues are normally only from line caught deep see fish. So pacific salmon and the like. ---- but don't take my word for it!

Things like tuna or salmon stake that I get are great just put into a bag with lemon juice and left for 6 hours. Herring is famously eaten just in brine. But any fish really is good raw.

We have lots of catfish that we caught out of the river last late summer. Eating it raw, it is a thicker type fish, may be ok

I have those chicken hearts thawing out for lunch now. I'm thinking will keep with cooked meats around my family at this point. I don't want them all running out on me quite yet.

My Grandfather used to do it. My Dad said he always did. My Grandfather would wait until a few kids were in the kitchen say, "Hey watch this!" grab a chunk and eat it. We'd all scream, "EEEEEewwwww!" and that was that.

Were it me, I am not sure how I would know if I had already gone? I haven't noticed yet, and after all, for me it would be a rather short trip!

My family will think I'm nutty and the way my mind constantly turns some times I think so too. Its a no wonder I always turned to carbs

My son thought it was gross and he said he would cook his own meat from her on out. Haven't told Heath and don't know if I will, be our dirty little secret I dought if many eat raw all the time, I will just try to eat it when no ones around. Heath is coming home for supper tonight so I guess I'm just cooking the meat, rare

Edit~ Just ate my breakfast of chicken hearts and fresh asparagus. The hearts, it was odd eating meat cold but it wasn't too bad at all, good flavor. The squishy feeling was there just a little bit but not an issue. I think its something in time that I would get over. My kitties got in on it too, Fuzzy got a little overly excited and thought he was going to steal directly from my plate Got him off the table and both kitties got to share 2 smaller hearts, they were still begging when I put the bag away.

Why are we the only animals that cook are meat? Theres got to be something to the raw movement. I didn't eat all that much and I was confortable, not full but confertable. I deffanitely didn't want to eat more and it wasn't the gross factor either. I simply didn't want to eat more, hmm. . . oh, there was a lot of fat on the chicken hearts so didn't have to outsource the fat

Okay, you got me. I stir fried some hamburger with avocado for lunch, but left it mostly red. It was pretty good that way.

Half hour after my heart breakfast, my stomach wasn't settling well. Not pukey but just unconfortable. it settled out untell my lunch. I descided to make a tuna salad with mayo and pickled eggs. My stomach was fine for a while and now I'm back to being unconfortable. Not knowing what is wrong sucks.

Give us a clue to what you ate for breakfast.

And how different that is from yesterday.

Changing diet normally takes a wee while to settle into. :-)

Todays Breakfast this morning was 4 raw chicken hearts with water and 2 asperagus stalks. Lunch was tuna salad with mayo and pickled eggs.

Yesterday breakfast was 2 raw eggs with a little butter and lunch was fried chicken and supper last night was deer loins, seared and still bleeding a bit.

Oh, I am thawing a package of ground deer, we mixed bacon in it when we ground it up Going to make cheese burgers out of that tonight and mine very well could be a bit on the raw side.

Some one follow along and pick up my marbles as I eat raw meat please
