Sucrose laden sweets and treat, and in particular, ice-cream.

I can go without sucrose easily enough, but as soon as I taste a bit on my tongue, im off flying, its worse than cocaine.

Regarding pizza...I miss it as well. Never tried this, and may be old-hat to some of ya...but one of my clients swears by her homemade LC pizza. She simply uses a big-ole portabella mushroom as the crust, then tops that with her fixens.

Coachjeff, don't know if you've ever tried it, but the "Deep Dish Pizza Quiche" recipe on this forum deserves it's fame, longevity and popularity!

I have found a way to still enjoy chocolate without the carbs and guilt. I simply get 100% unsweetened baking chocolate squares and dip them in Truvia. Gotta moisten them a bit however, so the Truvia will stick to the chocolate.

Mmmmmm chocolate.

What's the Hardest thing for You to "Give Up" on LC?

The notion that I could lose weight on LC without cutting calories.

I don't miss any food in particular, not being a big bread, pasta or chocolate fan beforehand.

However, I massively miss the convenience of carbs. Living in a carb obsessed society, giving up carbs is a constant vigilence thing. It is so hard to give up not having to think about what you can eat before going out, or just being able to grab anything at the shops without having to check carbs or sugar.

CoachJeff, try this pizza. I have tried several pizza recipes and this is the absolute best!

http://www.genaw.com/lowcarb/deep_dish_pizza.html

I don't miss any high carb foods as I have found hundreds and hundreds of low carb recipes for every imaginable thing.

No kidding! I can appreciate all the LC alternatives out there, but it's never been a great replacement!

Day 10, and I miss alcohol. I love the steak/shrimp/eggs etc.... But starting induction just as work hits it's busiest time is not my favorite. I'm hoping a glass of wine next week doesn't throw me off. Wish me luck. So far I have only lost 4 lbs.

Fruit. especially bananas (use to eat 1 a day), watermelon (i live in the south.. that's like.. the only fruit you HAVE to love), peaches, pears, apples, oranges, grapefruits, plums, cherries (fresh, perferably bing) *sheds a tear*.. yeah.. all of them.. these blue berries got nothin' on natures top shelf candies. lol.
I miss fruit. and most of it.

Honestly, I miss a lot of different things at different times. I miss deep friend things - Like General Tso's chicken with white rice. The crispiness of the chicken and the sweet tangy sauce. I also miss cakes. Being a texture person is rough, cos I crave the consistency of some foods that I no longer eat. I completely and utterly love potato salad.
