You're starting almost exactly where I did! The biggest difference is your son preceding you in weight loss. I am SO jealous!!! It is my hope and prayer that my 16 yo son will try lc, as I know he would lose weight and be healthier.

my son is also here on this support group and he feels so much better about himself, before he use to hate his bike now he rides it all over town, i stoped being his taxi

Today I made the low carb panckes,they looked good but i really didnt like them on other the hand my son loved them

As you go along, you're palate kinda changes, maybe in a few months you could try them again. Or you could always get suggestions on how to play around with the recipe, there's tons of people on here who are like some sort of kitchen alchemists and can play around with LC recipes.

thanks i will look out for that. the good thing i love meat never get tired of it but finding a side dish is hard

I find that to be a challenge as well
I started LC 7/12/12. I lost 5 lbs the first week; now stalled already

I am a meat lover too. Made slow cooked ribs for dinner with LC BBQ sauce and a little broccoli with butter.....yum!

The kids go back to school August 7 so I'm Starting Zumba on August 15 I did Zumba 2 months ago without diet and lost some weight not alot but some ,I'm hoping to lose faster now that I'm doing lowcarb

I wish I were a joiner and could stick with something like zumba. Someone to keep me motivated close by would be a good influence. I haven't lived here long and have no friends within a 3 hour drive.

my son made me a lc snack im glad we are doing this together he really looks out for me lol hes always asking his sister what did mommy eat! lol

I LOVE SODA i drink diet coke should i stop well for know i will just drink a litttle less every day

oh and i forgot to say my hubby does not know im doing lc :0 he hates when i get on diets lol so im not telling him
