working on trying to stay in my target heart zone during exercise and have really been pushing myself to do so- realizwed yesterday the heart rate machine was off by 20 beats a minute. Whew, I didn't want to have to work that hard, lol
My heart rate monitor was wacky yesterday, it said 65/bpm and I was running on the treadmill....I think not!
I try to get to 150 then bring it back down to 120 or so then bring it back up in intervals, I'm not in good enough shape yet to sustain 150 for more that 30 seconds or so but I'm getting better.
Kelly what are you using for a hr monitor? I have been working on staying in my target zone but just realized how far off the monitors were at my gym- same thing running and working my butt off but little change in hr . Wondering if the personal hr monitors would be more accurate?
I use a garmin with a chest strap now and I really like it. I can download all my stats online and chart my progress. I had a different watch type that you put you finger on to get a pulse but it didn't work well if you were still in motion and had no download ability.
