Yesterday

Food:
Loaded burger - homemade herby beefburger, with bacon, fried egg and cheese, fat cut chips.

Activity:
Day off of planned exercise (always make sure I have a day off once a week)

DD and I went out to lunch at our favourite pub yesterday where they serve the most fabulous burgers. They normally serve them with french fries but we asked them to hold the bun and upgrade the fries to their wonderful fat cut chunky chips. Heaven on a plate! Was still feeling full enough in the evening to not to want any dinner.

French fries are the skinny chips as served by McDonalds, for example. Whereas fat cut chunky chips are FAT and CHUNKY! ... and the chips we had were even fatter and chunkier than the ones in that pic!

I've also added Heston Blumethal's recipe to the thread, which uses smoked salmon in place of the bacon.

Hi! Just dropping in to let you know I'm paying attention, though not participating at the moment. I've been on the road. Doing fine with the plan, but look forward to getting back to the usual routine next week.

Meanwhile, I got a Kindle deal on a book called Fat-Assed by Jennifer Fulda, who has blogged her weight loss journey (down from 368 lbs) as pastaqueen for the past few years, and now has a web presence as Jenful. She's funny. Feet on the ground. The book is delightful and insightful.
