I thought I bought it. Like every other exercise DVD I've ever bought it collects dust or perhaps made it to the give-away pile.

I have it, don't use it regularly because it's hard!

Maybe I'm too out of shape right now or maybe I try too hard but I was thinking of starting out again soon...it's a fun way to get a decent workout.

Hope that helps

I ordered from Amazon.

My gym is starting Zumba on 6/22. I've already got a group from work--we plan on making it a Wed evening girls night.

I'm looking forward to some fun with this!

We'll have to keep each other posted about our progress with this.

I've already tried to learn 3 of the steps off of YouTube. FUN!

I teach pilates but sometime take part of the zumba class before my class. I think you will really like it. I'm not big on latin music, but if I was I would go to the class all the time. The nice thing about zumba is you can make it your own, whether you are a horrible dancer or fantastic, it doesn't matter. You can also make it as intense as you want. It always surprises me how some women walk out of there totally dry, like nothing happened and some are just covered in sweat. In fact, I hate using the mic after she teaches because it is always soaking wet.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!
I dont' know if I could do it on my own at home...but I go atleast once a week to a class not far from where I live.
Each week gets easier, as you learn the moves.
It's such a great workout, and best of all it truly IS FUN!
I laugh while I workout...which is amazing!

I love latin music. I love african/latin music. I love african music.

Just ask the people I work with. My office is behind the kitchen and in the mornings some of the girls come up before we start seeing patients and we dance for about 10 minutes--its a hoot and gets our blood going. Sometimes one of the docs comes up and joins in.

Cool I'll have to check out youtube! The closest class to me is 30 miles so dvd's it is. I noticed Amazon was a few $ less but it said 4-6 week shipping ~ I want to get going.

You are all so lucky to have classes near by!

Chelle--

I got my zumba dvds from Amazon yesterday--I ordered the set with the little weighted handheld thingies.

I started the intro part that breaks down and teaches you the steps--totally fun. Just that little bit and I probably only went thru the first 10-15 minutes--maybe 6 moves and I was panting like a dog on a hot day I plan on doing a little bit everyday--and practicing the moves that I'm really uncoordinated with. I'm sure Ollie thinks I look like an idiot but hey...whose he gonna tell except his doggie friends in the neighborhood.

I took my first class on Wed evening. It was packed! About 60 people--young and old. The instructor was a crack-up...she must have been about 70 really skinny with Dolly Parton helmet hair--that old babe can MOVE! Holy Moly! She kicked my ASS and I had soooo much fun doing it! I felt a bit uncoordinated on some of the moves but was able to do most of them without problem. It was an hour long and I swear I have NEVER had so much fun! I would have gone this morning, but I was up all night having a baby and didn't get home until 7--class was at 10:45. The CD with the intro moves on it that I got really helped with the basic steps. I'm going to do the 20 minute shorty CD class later this evening. (The CDs were worth it).

The one thing I was scared of (not really scared) but after watching a ton of YouTube videos some intructors use rock, country music etc instead of using all Latin/African---I was going to be really disappointed if the instructor had done this--the whole point of this is the music.
It was an hour of hip swaying, booty shaking latin music. ARRIBA!!!

That is great that you liked it. I like it when it is more hip hop vs latin. I could not do country.

Body Jam is another good one, in case your gym has that. Here is the link
