Steph- I will send a PM with my address and how to get here.

I was thinking each person could bring an appy and we could nibble on those. I was thinking I'd do a veggie plate with dip.

Bad omen for starting out 2010, my years-long autonotification seems to have disappeared!

Sounds good to me. If anyone wants any tools or help, just buzz me up by email or here or .... we can make plans.

I don't think I've ever asked this before but does anyone have any food issues? I know Anny MUST avoid gluten, but how's everyone with other common allergens - dairy; seafood; nuts; etc.

I can't handle several different nuts, notably walnuts, hazelnuts and brazil nuts but I'm fine with macadamias, pistachios, peanuts and almonds. I'm quite frankly scared to try any others!

Hi everybody, have spent the weekend with a migraine, then side effects from migraine medication. Next weekend will probably be on the mainland so it's not looking like I can make it. (But I'll try!)

miss you all...

Anny, I'm so sorry to hear that ... we've really been missing you! I sure hope our Feb. meeting will work out so you can join us!

And, although I've never experienced a migraine myself, my dad and one of his sisters both suffered from them. And that was in the '40s and '50s when there were not nearly as many helpful meds! I can remember whispering and tiptoeing around the house. Also, I remember mom and I milking the 3 cows to let dad stay in the darkened living room until it eased. Those poor cows! Neither mom nor I were good enough milkers and dad always had to finish them off to be sure they were fully empty. Oh well, we all survived and the cows didn't seem to suffer too much. Sorry ... rambling!!

Hope you feel better very soon! hugs ....

Ok all I have a minor problem......

I have to make a quick overnight trip to Vancouver on Saturday and won't get back to Victoria until 1:00 or so (11:00 ferry) on Sunday.

I REALLY don't want to cancel this!!!! How does everyone feel about having it a little later in the afternoon - like an early dinner thing, perhaps around 2:30 or 3:00?

I hope we can make it work!!

SORRY!!!!

Julie

Sure Julie - mid-afternoon works for me just fine. Makes the idea of appies/snackies perfect.

Sorry to hear that Steph - what do others think? Go ahead or reschedule? I'm not available the following weekend...
