Default Fit For the Pit

I'm thinking I should probably start a gym log so my exercise actually gets posted and doesn't get lost in my regular journal.

The short of it: I feel really out of shape. I've been running, but I feel like I'm getting nowhere because it hasn't been consistent.

I'm still motivated to hit my goal by the first of the year, but I'd rather be in shape (and preferably smaller!) regardless of what the scale says. Exercise is non-negotiable.

As the Mistress of Misfortune I managed to twist my knee pretty badly Friday leaving the gym (because people think the sidewalk is a parking spot and apparently I'm so "tiny" I can't be seen walking ).

I'm hoping to at least go walking at the gym (the non-smoking gym ), as well as get my resistance, and stretching in. The walking will have to count as cardio if that's all I can manage.

Schedule (theoretically) for the week:

Sunday: C/S
Monday: R/S
Tuesday: R/S
Wednesday: C/S
Thursday: S
Friday: C/S
Saturday: C/R/S

Didn't make any kind of workout yesterday because my knee was killing me. I've got a 2 mile walk this morning, but won't be taking the stairs. R/S when I get home.

Been doing yoga in the mornings. My knee is still killing me so cardio has just been walking.

I lied about not taking the stairs. After waiting more than 2 minutes for the elevator (there are only 4 floors it can stop on!) because someone was holding it, I took the stairs. Painful, but I lived.

Got my yoga in this morning. I hate being so stiff and sore.

I got my workout in this morning for the first time in about 2 weeks (maybe longer ). The reduction in stress has done an amazing job in helping me regain my flexibility and my migraines are greatly reduced.

Yoga!

I wanted to start getting out and running or at least walking again, but they still haven't cleaned the sidewalks or streets and the gym still smells like an ashtray. I was running consistently when I was still over 200 lbs and now I have my moments when I can, but more when I can't. I really miss being healthy enough for it not to be an issue.

Every time I start up with the exercise again I get really sick. It happened last month (the Thanksgiving flu) and it happened again this month (whatever this cold is). ::Frustrated::

Considering starting P90X again at some point. It was a really good work out when I was doing it before. Still been doing my pilates.

Exercise is hit and miss right now. I've been trying to do yoga daily and started ballet barre again, but it's difficult when the place is torn apart. No lifting because I'm not going back to that disgusting, cigarette smoke-filled gym.

Luckily, once we're moved I can just walk down to the greenbelt with my rollerblades, walk up to the hiking trails, or just run/jog/walk in general

I am hating this no exercise thing. I've tried moving stuff around to at least get some yoga in, but it's still a pain. No movement makes me feel like a huge .
