Frankly, if we got most people down to around 100 grams of carbs per day, it would be a huge improvemet. The average intake today is around 500 grams.
When you see the film, you'll see that I definitely zero in on sugar and starch as the cause of Metabolic Syndrome (I'm more worried about that than I am obesity per se) and rip the anti-fat campaigns of the past few decades.
Enjoy!

Tom,
Just watched it and am going to sit down again and watch it a second time this evening. Very enjoyable, entertaining, informative and funny all at the same time.
The only thing that bothered me was seeing one of those ridiculous hand held BF devices. Just a peeve of mine, sorry, but no way on earth you were 31% BF at your pre-diet checkup. I know that the accuracy of a method is not as important as being consistent in it's use (where people get into trouble when they measure by different methods), but still. As a thickish bodybuilder type, I can imagine what my reading would be!! I will stick to 7 site skinfold calipers testing thank you very much.
Sorry for the rant, good luck with the movie and thank you for spreading the word the way you have done. Between your movie and Gary Taubes book, people are starting to slowly get it!!
