Default Victoria December get together

Hi all, since I missed the November lunch I thought I would try to organize something for December.

I'm not travelling (of course...) so will be around almost all of the time.

Who's in?

Steph also mentioned a Costco run - is that still an option?

Julie

Well, if everybody is interested in Costco...I can always buy a membership and we can make it a regular thing!

Last week I went with my sister's BF who has a card...

I'm pretty hard up for cash right now...but Costco could be convenient

How many can actually come in and shop on one card? I don't have one and don't have room to buy in bulk so I can't see it being useful to get one, but a once-in-a-while "special occasion" trip could be fun! What am I saying?? I HATE shopping!!!!!

I'll be tied up December 4th to the 8th, but after that I'm clear until Christmas - so far! As far as planning much in advance, December is a nightmare! BUT - NO business commitments after the 8th.

Miss you guys - I need my "Elsie" fix!!!!

PS - I wish I could add an emoticon to my reason for editing - it'd be

hi everybody, just surfacing from work for air here (gulp). Would love to see you all for lunch in December. There's a Greek place that's pretty nice at Tillicum and Gorge, can't remember the name, but it could be OK and not that far from Tillicum Mall.

I have a Costco card if anyone wants/needs to do a run sometime. I don't think there's a limit to how many guests you can have at a time, but there might be a limit in car space

D'oh! That sounds exactly right (and SOOOO obvious!!! ).

Doesn't a van have to have seats to be legal?

Sounds like fun to me...and just a thought, but there's a very nice Milestones just a hop (ok, a few hops) down the hill from Costco, suitable for refreshment of weary shoppers...

ps: with a bit of notice, I can seat 3-4 in my Jeep, though I'm already just down the road from the big box store zone...

It does indeed! If Steph has room in her van for those of us in town, and Jude's already most of the way there, sounds like a plan!! Now the big question ... can we settle on a day and time?

I can make almost anytime work on Sats and Suns; Mon to Fri evenings (except Tuesdays these days, volunteering then) and barring gawdawful traffic) from 6-ish seating time on...and if evenings, can pick up said parties to transport TO as long as some transport FROM is provided...

Simply can't believe the amount of SLOW bumper to bumper traffice from 4-ish thru 6:30-ish some days...what happened when I left the daily grind in late 2004? Did we have some kind of immigration bonus going?

Sheesh.

If we're talking a meal and a shop, Nando's Chicken is one of my favourite places these days, and there's one at that new shopping centre (across from Home Depot?). Great chicken, decent salads, so-so- veggies.

Sounds like what with traffic a weekend lunch date might be good, but I could only make Sat. Dec. 15th. Does that work for anybody?
