Its a good exercise to not keep so close track.....it was hard for me at first, to let go of logging my food each day...but it was a crutch and I wanted to let it go!!

As long as you stay consistent to your plan...it should not be an issue!!

Not logging my food, I think, has allowed me to be a bit more flexible in my food choices. While I still write it all down in my personal journal, I've gone from writing it as I eat it, to writing it at the end of the day, when all is said and done. I still have control of what I eat, but what I eat has less control over me. What I mean is, I'm not falling into the trap of "OMG, I can't eat <insert food/amt here> because it goes over <insert self-imposed limit here>." Does this make any sense?

Hi everyone! Hope you are all doing well today. I am down 3 pounds yay!!!

Yesterday we had Company Day and went to coney island. I ate some bad things but when i got home i went for a really long run and went right back to no carbs so I'm not so worries about it. I did get a terrible tummy ache from eating that bad stuff so i feel like im even more less likely to want to eat anything bad now.

Hope everyone had a great day!

FYI- I've decided to run this thread by the month instead of the week. So this will run for the month of August. I'll start a new thread for September.

I figured I'd join you guys. My weeks are Sat-Sat so I'm a few days off of when you guys normally weigh, but that's ok. I'm done with week one of a pretty clean phase 1. There were a few croutons in a couple salads that were eaten and I got a soup at a restaurant that should have been OK except they put potatoes in it that weren't supposed to be there. Only ate a few bites of that. The cravings are gone and it's easier to say no to the people who like to push desserts in my face.

Howdy Everybody!!

Lots of newbies are starting their phase II and I've got a lot to say about how to do this. so here I go.....
First week it is best to add in 1 fruit serving a day. Thats it!!

Second week it is best to keep the 1 fruit a day, maybe go to 2 fruits a day and 1 starch...preferrably in the starchy veggie category....its way too soon to add in grain and definitely no FLOUR! NO bread, no low carb tortillas....no bread!! did I just say NO BREAD!! Its a big deal that you get that processed carbs, even whole grain, will make it harder for weight loss. If you must have grain, have it in its whole form, as in oatmeal....or brown rice. see the food lists for phase II veggies....

Now, I know that it says to add in whole grain, whole wheat bread or cereal...but if you don't believe me, you are on your own!! It will become an issue if you add it in too early! Go slowly, add in sweet potato, peas and carrots, butternut squash... before you add in grain....
Do not be afraid to try new foods and always keep eating all your phase I veggies!!

Keep referring to the food lists and meal plan charts to keep yourself on the straight and narrow path...deviate from the portion controls and you will not be happy!!

Hi all,

It's Monday here & I had a good week. At this stage of my LC career, my problem isn't knowledge, but translating that knowledge into action.

When I stick to plan & exercise regularly, it works. When I don't, it doesn't.

Hello All,
For the past two weeks I have lost 3lbs each. Of course I'm thrilled to have such large losses, but prior to this my phase two weight losses had averaged between 1.5 and 2.0. Should I be concerned? All I can think of is that my liver has been fully cleansed by this WOE and it is now burning fat more efficiently. You think?
