[QUOTE=glendarc]You've got fresh blackberries in Saskatoon????? In Victoria, it'll be months before we can look for fresh ... NO FAIR!!!!!

QUOTE]

Haha well they are only as fresh as the sobeys grocery chain gets them in as in their produce section...... They taste good, but certainly not as good as picking them off a blackberry bush. Actually I don't even think blackberry bushes can survive our climate here.

I was planning to make cauliflower pizza crust into taco shells and have them and a bunch of taco fixings on a platter for random taco making in front of the TV. Didn't work out. I'll try again on the weekend. My local store didn't have any cauliflower at all.

I just looked at your rutabega noodles but couldn't find the directions. [Be patient with me, I'm tired]
Looks delish!

Turn right at the light, go down three blocks and turn left, drive to Texas, get a job, buy some rutabega, make them into noodles.

They're just slices of rutabega boiled in spices and fixed with a sauce. Good, but not quite noodles.

Time for today's dinners.

I'm cooking some smothered steak w/ mushroom gravy & some faux mashed potatoes. This is actually the first time I've made the faux potatoes - quite delish actually. No dessert for me tonight - had 4 cups of coffee already today so no more artificial sweeteners.

I had a fresh green salad with cherry tomatoes, cucumber slices, hard boiled egg, shrimp and homemade ranch dressing!

Tomorrow, I am going to make a shrimp salad with the ranch, hardboiled egg, some celery and dill and perhaps a dash of Old Bay!

Coffee will be my dessert tonight!

Tonight will be meatloaf with a low carb cream gravy, spinach with butter and vinegar. Gunpowder tea, and half a red ruby grapefruit.

Salsa stewed chicken. Chop an onion, a green pepper, toss oil in pan, cook veggies slightly, add a couple of minced garlic cloves then add chicken pieces, stems from one bunch cilantro, two 14 oz cans tomatoes and a can of fire roasted chiles. Cook until nearly done, add lime juice to taste and cilantro leaves, salt and ground chipotle peppers to taste. Made with a whole chicken this serves 4 with half the sauce leftover to use on leftover pork tomorrow.

About 7g net carbs in 1/8th of the sauce.

Well, I haven't had it very often, but believe me, it doesn't even have to be good to be enjoyed. And this was really good.
