What a thread - this really makes you think of things that I have got used to just pushing to the back of my mind.
When I walk past the nice clothes shops I have just mentally detached myself from them as somewhere that other people shop and nothing to do with me, but it is going to be somewhere I can go in the next few months. Wow - I wouldn't know where to start.
Yes, the thought of short sleeves and not having to cover up fat wobbly arms, I am trying to imagine what that would feel like - it must be great!
It's going to be fun isn't it - when we are browsing around the clothes shops that we once only dreamed about going into we will be able to recognise each other - we will be the ones with the biggest smiles!

Happiness is being a low carbing fashionista!!!!

That sounds wonderful! You should post some pics wearing some of those outfits

I still have my high school prom gown; a beautiful strapless number from the 1950s that I picked up at a vintage clothing store 20 years ago. It's about a size 12 and I'd like to wear it again; I think I could get away with it for a gala event. When I can wear it, I'll find a reason!

For my husband's benefit, I'd like to get into some classic lingerie. Dita Von Teese style. Sure, I have fancy undies now, but they're not va-va-va-voom. Maybe just va-voom.

Sometimes I play a game with myself: I go through a fashion magazine or a catalogue page by page and tell myself, "You're at goal weight and you have to choose clothes from here. You're allowed one outfit from each pair of pages. What ya gonna wear?" Then I daydream a little.

Wow! You still have your prom gown? Cool! What color is it?

Lingerie is a definite yes!

I do the same as you but I pick my outfits online, tee hee!

Its going to be loads of fun...I can't wait! I would love to just buy something I see on a mannequin, instead of wishful thinking.

Default Nothing with a Venezia tag :)

Seriously, I will just be so excited to not have to own anything with the Lane B. tag. I do love that store because they do try to allow plus size women to look fashionable and not just like a tent with giant flowers on it that some of the other plus size stores try to do.
I am looking forward to wearing lingerie too - I won't wear any now because the lingerie hugging my back shelf doesn't look attractive! Especially since my stomach is in a tug-o-war WITH that back shelf. Ugh!
I can't wait to be able to go to normal sized clothing stores and replace my entire wardrobe! Lots of dresses, sexy v-neck cashmere sweaters, KNEE HIGH black heeled boots in the winter (can't get them now with my big legs). I also want to have a sexy pair of jeans!!! I have not worn jeans for 10 years because of my size!
Oh and HEELS! I stopped wearing heels at my size because of all of my aches and pains.
It will be nice when I can go into ANY store and find something other than just shoes and purse that I KNOW will fit!

Shopping! I can't wait! I've been wanting some knee high boots for the winter, but haven't been able to find any that fit! Hopefully this winter will be different.

This might sounds silly, but I'm kind of stuck in the 80's.
I'd love to get some nice black cowboy boots, blue jeans, white t-shirt, and a salt and pepper sports coat.
Something like this for the coat.

A tank top and shorts. I can't even tell you the last time I exposed my thighs to the sun.

Hey Jeff, I LOVE that look. Guess that means I'm stuck in the '80's too. My dream outfit is similar - a blazer that REALLY fits, a close fitting button down shirt, skinny jeans, and a pair of short boots with a good size heel. Ah, something to look forward to.

But like Penn, I'm already having some fun in the stores. It feels really good to look at things in regular stores and think that I can actually get into at least some of them. I've dumped my "sacks" and have moved into things that show off my weight loss.

Same with me. I've got 2 different skin tones, since I don't wear shorts anymore

LOL.. I LOVE the 80's. Music, clothing, cars, and especially big hair on the girls. I think that Aqua-net needs to make a big comeback.
