Thumbs up I have somehow made a DELICIOUS brownie

It is so delicious. I don't know how it ended up like this but it is good this thing is the exact consistency of a moist delicious brownie, hope it's not a fluke.

I used a couple tbsp of cocoa with some stevia, sugar twin, and splenda. This is mixed up in a mug, which you put a bit of butter in and microwave for about 30 seconds. I took it out and then mixed it up a bit and realized it was still mostly just powder. I put a tbsp or two of cream in and a little bit more butter, then I microwaved it for another 20 seconds. When I opened up the microwave I just about had a heart attack when I saw something that looked like a delicious brownie. Tastes like one too.

I know it isn't much of a 'recipe', it's just that I made this just winging it and it ended up so awesome I had to share.

I made a similar invention several years ago, but mine came out more like a cupcake, which was great with cream cheese and cocoa frosting!

Another time I accidentally invented a crispbread - take about a tbsp each of ground flax and wheatbran, add water till it makes a paste - not too thick - and spread it out thin on parchment paper. Nuke on high until crisp (1-2 minutes, depending on microwave). Top with pate, cheese, peanut butter, or whatever, and enjoy!

I'm just wondering how in the world this becomes a brownie or cupcake? It's nothing but cocoa, butter and cream, right?

I just made it...and I would call it "Chocolate Goop in a Puddle of Grease."

The "goop" definitely does have a "brownie" taste, though. If you can get past the look of it (I did), and pick the goop out of the grease, it tastes very good.

The initial stage, 1 TBL cocoa stirred into 2 T melted butter, with a little cream added, with a packet of splenda and a few drop of clear liquid stevia made a beautiful ganache!

Which makes the entire recipe worth it....I finally found a ganache to pour over my 3 minute chocolate cake or basic vanilla cookies.

Honey, it sounds like *I'm* the one who needs the life???

Isn't it funny how we think about and wonder about each other? I do it all the time. I think about you and your Atkins 72!

OK, update on the ganache...it didn't taste good on the rev roll for some reason. The roll was very dry for some reason--I had made this batch with splenda and I don't like the texture of them. Anyway, I just ate the ganache out of the cup. I need to get some unsalted butter to make this...you can definitely taste the salt. But it was very very good. But you have to use/eat it quickly...the batter will break.

Let me tell you, I just ate the equivalent of about 1/4 C of butter and I feel so incredibly happy and satisfied right now...I think I do need to go back to high-fatting.

That is hilarious! Scarlet told me today she dreamed that she was babysitting my kids!

OK...now I am pissed. I just realized that I have just eaten 1140 grams of sodium in the &~!%# salted butter!

Stupid, stupid, stupid.

Ok...I have the WORST cotton-mouth right now, so if you try this, do use unsalted butter!

You really want to use UNsalted butter. You can really taste the salt otherwise.
