I took these with me camping in a tupperware bucket in a cooler. They were just a bit wet on the bottom with condensation so I cut them into slices and fried them like french bread. YUM!!!

I confused. ...I originally sent for my atkins info a couple of years ago. ... But the acceptable food list I printed the other day did NOT have flax meal listed for induction? ??? Or are you referring to those that choose to stay in induction longer than 2 weeks being able to use flax meal?

It is not listed on the "allowed foods" list in DANDR but is mentioned in the section discussing adding fibre supplements to aid against constipation

So although Dr A did not actually suggest using ground flax seeds for baking bread or muffins on induction he did say we could use a tablespoon or so as quoted below.

From Chapter 8 in the section titled "Supplementing With Fiber"
Quote:
I recommend that you take one tablespoon of psyllium husks daily. Be sure to select a sugar-free product. You can also take one tablespoon of coarse wheat bran or flaxseed meal. Although it's derived from grain, coarse bran is pure fiber and therefore it too contributes zero to your carb count. Psyllium husks should be mixed with water. You can sprinkle bran over your vegetables or blend flaxseed meal into a shake.

In Chapter 11 in his "Twelve Rules" Dr Atkins wrote
Quote:
12. If you are constipated, mix a tablespoon or more of psyllium husks in a cup or more of water and drink daily. Or mix ground flaxseed into a shake or sprinkle wheat bran on a salad or vegetables.
