Friday I walked 5.5 miles and it took me 1.5 hours.

Today I walked 4 miles and it took me 1 hour 8 minutes.

My intervals consisted of going uphill then walking flat again. I actually think I got a great work out and I feel happy that I am done and over with it. I was really sweaty when done. Which is usually my way of knowing if I had a good work out or not.

I think I need new shoes though. I think the ones I have have exceeded their mileage.

So today I walked another 4 miles.

It once again took me 1:08 to walk the 4 miles.

I did intervals again with a high incline (10) and I burned 500 calories. Although I don't know how accurate that is because my treadmill doesn't ask me how much I weigh.

I think that's pretty good because if I recall correctly, when I used to run on the treadmill at the gym, I used to burn about 500 calories running 5 miles in 1 hour so I don't really care if I'm walking or running. The results are the same.

I was sweaty and feeling good that I completed my workout for the day!! YAY ME!!

So I walked and jogged again. It took me 1 hour to do 4 miles.

I did intervals of walking uphill/jogging/ and just regular walking.

I burned 550 calories.

So I feel like I am progressing. It may have been a very slow jog...more like a trot. lol But I was able to do it for periods of 5 min at a time and I felt like it was a good progression. I didn't plan on jogging, it was just easier than walking faster because my shins hurt when I try to walk really fast.
