Thursday's exercise was Denise Austin's Hit the Spot Pilates. I did two 10 minute segments: thighs and butt.

Holy cow. The last post was literally the last time I exercised. Yesterday was my first step back into the groove of working out. I did a 30 minute DVD called "Yoga Buns". It was more like pilates for my butt. Surprisingly, Denise Austin wasn't too annoying in the video. My glutes are sore and I really broke a sweat. That's good.

Today I'm either going to do a Leslie Sansone walking DVD or a Denise Austin pilates DVD.

I've been happily maintaining for the past year. It's time to get to goal-- 106-110.

Default Exercise today: Check

Today I did Leslie Sansone's 1 mile walking segment.

Tomorrow I'll do the pilates DVD. (Not the butt DVD. It needs a rest.)

Yesterday I did a few sun salutations and a 10 minute power core pilates segment by Denise Austin.

Today I did more yoga sun salutations than yesterday, and I also did some pelvis and hip opening exercises. I did a 10 minute Denise Austin pilates segment focusing on the hips.

I don't know why I don't do yoga more often! I love it! It feels great flowing from one memorized pose to another, without having to follow a DVD or instructor. I love that I can do the poses anywhere without any equipment other than my yoga mat or a beach towel. I love the stretching, strengthening, and lengthening.

I remember one time earlier this year we were visiting my boyfriend's grandparents at their beachfront condo in Boca Raton, Florida. I woke up verrrry early one morning and couldn't go back to sleep...so I went out on the balcony, put down a towel, and did sun salutations as the sun rose over the ocean. It was amazing. Ah...

Why don't I do yoga more often?!

Today I did the 2 mile, 30 minute Walk Away the Pounds workout with Leslie Sansone. She's goofy, but good. I feel nice and refreshed!

I actually enjoy light-moderate exercise. Why do I have an aversion to it?

Yesterday I did 25 minutes of Ballet Conditioning, a DVD I got from Netflix. The segment I did focused on the legs... There were a lot of plies. My quads are SORE!

I just did a DVD (streaming over Netflix) called 10 Minute Yoga Solution. I did two 10 minute segments--one was just basic sun salutations and the other focused on stretching and relaxing. Pretty mild stuff. Not my favorite yoga workout.

Anyway, it did relax me somewhat.

I'll definitely try the streaming Netflix workouts again! It worked out well.

I did my first ashtanga yoga class today. It was an hour and fifteen minutes long. Ashtanga yoga is a fixed series of poses that are always done in the same order.

It was far more challenging than any other yoga class I've ever taken. It was humbling...but good.

Today I did level 1 of the 30 Day Shred. It's only 25 minutes, but what an ass kicking!

A few months ago I did several days of the Shred in a row. I could definitely feel myself getting better at it. I never did get to levels 2 or 3 though.

I'll do this again tomorrow.
