We've been watching it here. 32 dead is the current figure being quoted and more than 20 injured. It's all over the news here.

Just got home.... checked here before I turned on the TV. I think I'll avoid the news... My prayers are with the victims and the all of the families involved.

Think I aced my pastry exam, gneh on my cheese exam, and my competition plate got 3rd place... It was very close though. Less than 1% point between places 1 & 4. One last exam tomorrow morning and then that's it! I'm done with school! Yeah!

One small bit of good news. If you remember our buddy, Blake? He's thrown away his crutches, finally.

Kelsey continues to recover, physically and emotionally. It was a hard day, but she attended the prom in a nearby town, wearing her best friend's dress, accompanied by her Jenna's parents.

She will still be in the chair for at least two more months, but is expected to regain use of her legs.

Little Miss Natalie was just baptized at Easter services. She still has her colicky times, but the meds they have her on for her reflux are helping a lot.

Coffee is on! Can anybody help me find my Cuisine International book so that I can study for my exam this morning? I haven't seen for the last few days.... Gaaaaa!

Done! That's it! I've just written my last exam... What's that old limerick? No more school, no more books, no more teacher's dirty looks! I should have some marks within a week or so...

What a day... my oldest wasn't feeling great this morning. Complaining of a headache, and just a general 'malaise'. I have an exam to write, and there isn't anything to suggest that she is really sick or not sick for that matter, so I send her to school and tell her to call me at recess if she is still feeling sick. My dad drives me to school and gets home to a message from my kid's school saying that DD#1 had vomitted at her teacher's feet.... At least now I can take the time I need to care for my baby... No longer as pudgy as the lovely premie.

Yes vomitting at the teacher's feet will generally get you a day off of school. Perhaps if you don't find your cuisine book you can try the same approach with YOUR teacher......
