That sample link has been bandied about a lot, around the various LC boards, for several years; first popped up in 2004, IIRC. And it's probably gone in bunches, you know, like now when a whole bunch of people are trying it out again.

They've probably noted they sent out an unusual number of "commercial/development samples" lately...

Yup, getting pickier. Am now in communication with this guy who is all but asking me for recipes, marketing strategies and business plans! Luckily, I still have my business name from the time I made wedding and novelty cakes and I can talk 'recipe' speak for longer than he can type replies, so I'm hopeful (maybe).

I did get a sample many years ago. I believe it was late 03 early 04 that I requested for my liquid splenda sample. I got like 9oz of the stuff. I used very little of it since I didnt want to waste a drop. Now I just get sweetzfree.

There seem to be more players getting into the act now since the patent is now up. Sweetzfree has a direct competitor call Sweet Water.

Interesting, is it the same product? Do you have a website for them? While I have been happy with sweetzfree I do have a few gripes. The bottle with the cap that pulls up and down gets stuck all the time and I have to use the edge of a butter knife to get it up and my palm to get it back down again but most importantly I need to set my friggin calendar to remind me when I can order it next because of their windows. That drives me insane! I know my mother has been wanting some and keeps missing the window.

It's the same bottle but quite a bit cheaper. $45 for 4 oz.

Sweet Water

Never got the sample, unfortunately
Have asked the ebay guy if he'll send the stuff here to Ireland, but I'm not hopeful . Still, the tablets aren't so bad - very low carb - and easy to crush.
Thanks for the info, Kevin.

eBay, search on Sweet Water Sucralose. Same type of bottle dropper cap. Availability depends on what's selling at the moment, varies from 1 oz to 4 oz.

Ya know, I wouldn't mind the option of the tablets, so nice and portable. We don't have them here in Canada (and no matter what some others have said, we never have had either the tablets or the liquid Splenda here).

Oy, if anyone has 250.00 USD to spare, there's a 0.95 GALLON of the original product up on eBay...this should last a lifetime.

This jug of Sucralose Liquid Concentrate is made by Tate & Lyle. It is in a brand new, still sealed jug. It is .95 gallons of liquid splenda. Splenda is a liquid sweetener that is sometimes called sugar water.
Liquid Splenda sells for around $10.00/ounce! This is a great deal!

I saw that. I can't imagine having that much liquid splenda! I guess it would be great to turn around and resell on ebay in the 1 oz bottles. At only $10 a bottle you could make your money back on 25 ounces - the rest of the (almost) gallon would be money in the bank.

Oh, I WISH we could get the tablets here! It would be so much more convenient for use when out and about. For my Disney trip in October, I got a sample size of Visine, cleaned out the bottle and poured my liquid splenda sample into it so I could have a small enough container to keep with me all the time. (Figured since it was for eyes it was pretty darn sterile to start with... )

I found some cheap dropper bottles, both in the dollar store and in a local store that specializes in plastics (they have food grade bottles of all sizes, with dropper tops and squeeze tops, etc.).

I use filtered or distilled water and the powder (had this once upon a time) or the concentrate (thin it down for easier measuring) and make my own liquid.

Works like a hot damn, and I know precisely what's in it.

Would love to have the tablets for travelling, though. They can be bought from Australia, I believe, or possibly Europe. Used to be a sticky link in the PRODUCTS forum, I started it years ago, about Liquid Splenda and contacting the maker (McNeil) in the US or Canada. There should be links in there somewhere.
