A San Jose resident reporting in here. Although I've lived in SF, Walnut Creek, Santa Cruz, and the peninsula.

The best place I've found for a LC meal in my budget is Chez Sovan, on Bascom. But even that's not terribly balanced. I have to bring my own bottle of animal fat and have them microwave it for me.

I think what would be cool is if this forum could program a Google Map mashup showing placemarks for all the participants the world over. Some members, like me, would have to manually enter their location, since my profile information is intentionally vague.
