Hi,

Just wanted to jump in here and let you guys know how happy I am that I found this thread a couple of weeks ago....I had never heard of the walking dvds ..I have become so inactive other than the daily stuff...but no real exercise and would find myself tiring just walking through the grocery store parking lot...anyway, I can't do the heat and humidity where I live, so that was the excuse I was using to not walk the block in my neighborhood....long story short, bought the dvd that has the one, the two and the three mile walk on it at Walmart. I started last week with the one mile no weights and got a little impatient with the dvd and my abilities both....couldn't believe I was ready to sit on the sofa so quickly...anyway, today I thought it was time to actually break a sweat and quit behaving like I just couldn't do anything and I stuck in the 2 mile and used some wrist weights and got through it fine and felt like I really accomplished something. The 30 minute 2 mile was perfect for me, but what I really liked about the one mile was that it got my butt off the sofa.. Also it is good to know it is there for those days I don't have time or am having problems with back pain that tends to flare up on me now and again.

Anyway, good luck to anyone trying them....I can see where to some they would be a little boring, and I am actually in the middle of making a cd of music for me to listen to while I walk and turn down the volume. I like having the dvd though for the markers that show up and let you know how far you have gone and also to keep me at a faster pace than I would walk if I was just outside walking the block.

Take Care whatever you use,
Anita

I got up late today so just did the 1 mi. this a.m., but used the ab belt today. I really like the ones I'm doing. Got the ab belt & DVD for becoming a club member; at the same price as the belt alone. So I thought it was a good deal. A little diapointed in the club membership, not much to it; so will cancel that before it automatically renews.

Rissa,

My one mile was under 20 minutes, I don't have it in front of me, but I think 15, so it might be just what you are looking for.....my two mile is exactly 30 minutes and the 3 mile was around 45.

Good Luck...I remember the days of trying to get things done while the baby was sleeping.

Take Care,
Anita

All the ones I have are timed at a fifteen minute mile except the five miler has a 13 minute walk and jog in it and the walk and jog dvd is 4.5 miles an hour.

I bought three of Leslie's workout DVD's at Kmart a few months ago, I'm thinking they were around $9 each.

Hey guys,

Has anybody tried this "walking ramp" that I just saw on one of the leslie sansalone dvds? I saw it sold with a set of three dvds, just wondered if anyone had done it.
