Hi pink!

Personally that sounds like a lazy attendent who doesn't want to check things out for you sometimes they get in a hurry and do not want to steam something different or bend over and check the fridge to see what is really there.

Here in Southern California I have not found one that does not carry heavy whipping cream. It is the stuff they put in their whipping cream dispenser, and I have read the back a ton of times to be sure it says "zero" carbs.

Next time you are there ask what they are putting in their whipping cream dispenser, I bet it is heavy whipping cream. When they pull out the heavy whipping cream cartoon, ask them to read the front of it and if it says "heavy whipping cream" smile at them and say...THAT is what I want...they will get the message. I am really surprised, the Bay area is normally really hip and up on this sort of stuff even before we in Southern California are...we always follow after them!

Good Luck,
Kellie

Me too - all the coffee places around here use sweetened soy milk. And the whipped cream always has sugar it in too.

Now, I have a question....

According to www.starbucks.com, a Grande Decaf Coffee of the Week has 2 g. carbs listed. Also, a Grande Americano has 3 g. carbs listed. What is that from?

Per the USDA nutrient site, heavy whipping cream has 6.64 g carbs by difference per cup, 0.42 g carbs per tablespoon and 0.83 g carbs per 1 ounce. I am not sure what the grande special and Americano are and if they use cream in them, but if they are and use enough of it, it can add a few carbs to the drink.

Actually, I checked their site and that information is really strange. The calories don't seem to match the carbs. It is almost as if the carbs column is a mistake.

Did you see the highest carb count of the Mint Frappucino at 98 carbs for a Grande? WOW!!!!

It also might be a ton of other things, stress, PMS, or blood pressure.

Nando,
If you gained 1.5 pounds from PMS...I think you have some explaining to do!!!

All I said was....

Decaf Latte Grande with Sugar Less Vanilla Syrup and Heavy Cream.

That's it.

You dont even need to add Splenda.

It's real good but it has stalled my weight loss and the Heavy Cream can a be bit harsh for the stomach.

Happy to help. Today when I went in they had their Christmas Blend coffee out for the holidays. I wait all year for it. I broke down and had some with some steamed whipping cream today (Cafe Miso they call it). I savored it the whole morning. I understand completely how it can comfort you after a rough week.

I'm in the California Bay Area and never have any trouble finding a Starbucks that carries the heavy whipping cream. I think any barista that claims they don't carry it is either lying or too lazy to look.

A cafe misto is the same thing as a cafe au lait. I know that a tall breve misto is 8 carbs, so I imagine one made with heavy whipping cream would be even less. Still not the kind of thing to indulge in every day, but occasionally it's nice.
