Not with only 3 kilos. Once the fat is gone, you'll be smaller anyway and the 3 kilos of muscle won't look bad. You could add another 3 kilos without a problem IMO.

You've been training now for two months, right? Your body has been going through changes since you changed your way of eating and your activity. It could have made its biggest changes these past two weeks. Regardless, no reason to make it more complicated than it has to be.

Take your measurements again and if you come out with the same number you did previously, then I wouldn't worry about it. Your body will balance out the water retention on its own. Drink plenty of fluid, don't overload on sodium and don't use diuretics that deplete your potassium stores.

The changes you’ve made recently should start to show. If not, more changes are necessary. That’s the body weight management lifestyle. IMO, it sure beats the alternative.

when you work your muscles, the muscles actually tear - they rebuild while you sleep and on your rest days. When you work them, they retain water - especially at first. This will add weight to the scale. Your body does eventually figure itself out. when you start at the gym, especially if you're lifting weights, use the scale as a reference, not as your progress meter. Use your clothing and a tape measure for your progress meter.
As for the sodium - stay away from things that have a high sodium content- sodas, prepackaged foods, etc. diuretics are water pills, diet pills, etc - they make you pee a lot more than you probably should and you'll be losing your potassium and other vital nutrients that your body needs to remain healthy. Potassium, among other things, keeps your muscles from cramping.
Drink a lot of water and stay away from the diet soda!

It probably is water retention. How are the changes working for you now?

heres a story for u. i usually got weighed at my docs, monthly or so, this is how i new that i had lost any weight at all, then i was findin it hard to get a doc appointment so i bought my own scales, these are the same ones i was goin by when i put on the 3kilos, and hav so far only shifted 2. then today i go to the doc for the 1st time since may and im 2kilos less then what my ones said i am, so that was either one hell of a 20min walk to the doc or my scales are wrong. is it pos that i didnt even put any weight on at all?

very possible.... scales should be calibrated to weigh the same but they simply arent. If you go into a store and can test scales you would see a difference between different models and manufacturers.

I weigh in the same day (Wed) and time (6am) wearing the same thing (nothing)... that provides me at least some consistency. Your weight can vary 3 to 5 pounds from morning to night. Weight can also vary from day to day based upon exercise and what you ate.
