Nikki...just out of curiosity.....your recipe you made the breakfast pancakes...its the same exact recipe..i just omitted the sweeteners....so if the cream in the pancakes/french toast didn't stall you then you should be okay.....i think the heavy cream is what gives it the texture...i dunno....i'd say if it was too runny with water..maybe add more pork rinds....or whip the egg whites first to keep it from being too runny.....hmm..let me know what you come up with

no.the texture was fine...it just tasted really nasty..it tasted like soggy porkrinds....i think the cream takes out the porky flavor...the reason i didnt use cream was i didnt have any..i used it all making those pancakes haha..i used the spicy pork rinds..maybe that could be part of the reason

In DANDR, you are allowed 1/3 cup of heavy cream as a treat once a day, or half an avocado, or olives, etc. Read the induction section again and at the end of the foods list you will find this info. Atkins calls it Special Category Foods, or something like that.

i tried the pancake one with water....it was ok but better with the cream...they were to dry and rubbery and they still had the porky flavor..so i had to drown it out with syrup

Gotta try this. I love the french toast made this way. I've never been much of a sandwich eater, but since I have started Lcing, I think of all these sandwiches that I would love to have. I've always loved tuna sandwhiches. I may try it with tuna or egg salad and definitely a BLT. Might make a pretty decent hamburger bun too. Great idea!

I was thinking garlic bread with cheese!

or bruschetta!

also, I added a spoonful of soy protien or atkins bread mix to give it more of a bread taste

As french toast, I could see how this might work. But grilled cheese? Maybe my expectations were just too high, but it ended up tasting like a weird cheese omelette.

Is half & half like single cream? cos we don't have half & half. I always use it in my diet. Not everyday though, jut like 2-3 times a week.

Another Q, I cannot eat pork rinds cos I'm muslim, is there a substitute to it? or is there another variation to this recipe?

Thought this recipe was pretty good....i would like to see if there is a way to make the "bread" a bit less spongy though....Maybe use one egg instead of two or add something that would dry it out a little bit.

Noura80; why don't you try substituting ground almonds or ground flax seeds or a mix of both in place of the pork rinds...should work
