Hi Sunpines/Anny(?)..Great! See you at Turk's at 6. And if we're lucky Karen might be there as well. I'll be wearing a Canon camera. . And a red goretex jacket, red beret, hiking boots and silver hair.
I'd love to take pictures of our group if that's ok with everyone.
Thanks for the dessert, Karen! It was delicious (as usual for you). I was raving about what a good idea it would be to go to MB with the family to DH this morning. I think we'll be making a return visit really soon.
The only thing is not getting to talk to everybody!! That's the only thing I don't like about meeting in restaurants. Guess we can mix up the seating a bit next time
Really good time - thanks, everybody, for coming out and braving the cold and icy streets

It sure was a fun evening wasn't it. I say" Me too", to what everyone else said. Thanks Nicole for getting us together. Thanks Karen for the yummy cake. Thanks Annie for showing me Commercial Street.
Malvene, I hope you'll be posting the recipe for the pastry cream and that someone will post the address and name of the crepe recipe.
I think my favorite food was the brisket and then the pulled pork.
Here's the link to a selection of the pictures I took along Commercial Street, inside Santa Barbara Market, and inside Memphis Blues Barbecue. Sorry Karen and Wanda I didn't get a good picture of you. The first picture is of Annie waiting for me in Turk's Coffee House.
That was a lovely dinner and evening. Thanks to all for the organizing, the wonderful dessert and the great company. If I do say so myself, we make a great group. Such fabulous pictures Ruth..... Wow
Here is the crepe recipe that Karen gave me. I think this could open up lots of possibilities for many different dishes
Thanks guys. I'm glad you liked the pictures. I sure had fun taking them. And thanks Malvene for the crepe recipe. ( I thought that was the pastry cream recipe you were writing down in you palm pilot-like thingy. Maybe Karen can post the pastry cream recipe she used. I know she used sugarless peach jam for the bottom three layers. How many layers? 8?)
Malvene, I also love the picture of your dogs -- and the pic of their xmas outfits.
Can someone tell me how I can load a photo of myself to my signature or where in the forum I can find a description of how to do it? Thanks in advance. Ruth
Ruth, On the upper left of your screen, there is a link to "User CP" (stands for User Control Panel). In there you'll find things like "Edit Signature", "Edit Avatar", etc. Do you want to add an avatar (the little picture that shows under people's names)?
