Good luck on the quitting SweetCake.

Just wanted to mention possibly trying milk thistle. It is for the liver and may help with the cholesterol since most of the body's cholesterol is manufactured in the liver. Milk thistle helps keep the liver strong and functioning efficiently.

It lowered mine. Prior to Lipitor my HDL was 38, after just 6 weeks it was 28.

Maybe it's an individual thing? I do remember reading that some meds are more likely to lower HDL than others.

It had no effect on my HDL. According to the manufacturer, Lipitor raises HDL by about 5%. Of course, going off Lipitor and onto low-carb raised my HDL by 50%.
