Signed up with Brian for another 10 visits, we are going to continue to lift weights next week, but the next week Brian wants me to take that week off and not lift any weight, but do my Cardio. Then when we begin again he will have a new program worked out. Brian said that everyone needs to take a week off from weight lifting from time to time, then when we start again, my muscles will be sore like they were in the beginning, when I had trouble sitting on the throng.

Alice, in some ways I am looking forward to having the week off, but in other ways, I'm not..now does that makes sense??? I'll still go out everyday and do my Cardio.

Orchid, thanks so much for stopping by, I love new visitors.

Okay, I did 35 minutes on the elliptical and 10 minutes on the bike this morning, and I'm so happy that today is Friday

Joan--

You make absolute sense to me. I wasn't going to do any exercises today and felt guilty all day like I had messed up--so after dinner- went out to our pool and did 50 laps under the stars and beautiful moon. Guess I have developed a habit or something huh??

Tomorrow I am going to swim another 50 laps to make up for Monday as they will be here and I won't go to the gym then either. Where the h--l does this guilt feeling come from????

Hope you have a good evening there. Hugs!!

August 31, 2004 Tuesday Cardio

Elliptical machine keeping strides 114-116 per minutes. 30 minutes

Bike keeping rpm's at 79 for a time of 15 minutes.

Total Cardio time 45 minutes. Calories burned 786

Got to the gym at 6 a.m. cause Bob and I are expecting someone around 8 this morning, so I wanted to make sure I got home in time. In fact the traffic was so light on my way home that I've decided to start getting to the gym by 5 a.m. to get my Cardio in. This way I can just leave Bob in bed until I return.

September 01, 2004 Thursday

Went to the gym at 5 a.m. this morning, it was great being able to come home without dealing with school traffic.

Did a total of 45 minutes of Cardio. 40 minutes on the elliptical machine, and then 5 on the bike. Off to see the doctor this morning.

Great going Joan!!! See your Doctor and you now have something in common too---workouts!!! Neat. I have to get my Mammogram set up this month too. More squishing and squashing. Maybe I'll lose a bit if I get Margaret to squish them a bit harder.

September 02, 2004 Thursday

Chest Press.........60 lbs.........35 reps...had to do 5 extra cause I kept arching my shoulder, so Lucifer made me do an extra five. Now trust me, the shoulder didn't arch those times..

Leg Press sled.......145 lbs.......30 reps

Bike level 11, keeping rpm's above 70 actually held it at 80 the entire 2 minutes

Laterial Pull Single Hand.......65 lbs.......30 reps

Leg Curls seated...........80 lbs.........30 reps

Lateral Raise............20 lbs............30 reps

Elliptical machine......Level 8 like walking through mud, 112 strides per minute for 2 minutes

Ball squats...okay we did something different today, no weights being held, but did the 3 second count, very slow on the way up. 30 reps of these...I will not miss this damn ball.

Leg Extensions........45 lbs..........30 reps

Hyper extension holding a 10 lb weight to my chest, did 20 with the 10 lb. weigh and 10 with just my arms crossed over my chest.

Ab Crunch..........55 lbs.........30 reps.

Okay this was my last weight lifting until September 13, and then I will have a whole new program, and Brian had this evil grin on his face
