Atkins helped me...

-lose more than half my weight in pounds
-balance out my erratic moods
-balance out my hormones & control my PCOS
-balance out my metabolism & regulate my food intake so as to naturally maintain my weight
-get way more energy, not feel tired after doing just a tiny bit of walking
-eliminate the sugar highs and lows that controlled me to the point where I snacked all day, just to avoid that horrible out of control feeling from reactive hypoglycemia induced parasympathetic/sympathetic nervous system stimulation (I can't think about eating a high amount of "naked carbs" without also thinking of feelings of jitters/shakes/tremors/irritability/confusion/heart palpitations, even today. That's how strong my connection is between carbs & the reactive hypoglycemia which plagued me. I think of carbs and I mentally anticipate the epinephrine adrenal output!)
-stop being irrationally thirsty all the time (I swear I would put down quarts of fluid, most of which unfortunately were sweetened with simple sugars! My thirst knew no bounds, especially in hot weather. Now that I think back, that was probably a symptom of running higher than normal sugars & early diabetes).

... and when in ketosis:
-need way less sleep, enjoy a feeling of mild euphoria & w/ an over all a dramatic elevation of mood.

Atkins changed my life for the better 1000%
