The smaller bi-weekly NHE-style carbups seem to be really working for you Jag!

Hey all I posted a couple of pictures of my lifting buddy and I
He is my brother in law.
He is a bit bigger than me. He gives me a complex!
Now you can see why I don't think I am so muscular.

Wow, Jag!
The most recent picture in your gallery shows lots of great visible progress even compared to your 5-5-04 picture.
You look great! Keep doing whatever you're doing.

I am going back to CKD this week! I skipped my mid week NHE carb meals last night.
I was losing fat and gaining muscle on CKD. On the NHE program I FEEL like I was gaining strenght but not losing any fat. I was doing the bodybuilder program. I just think MY body likes the once a week 24 hour carb up post depletion. I quess we'll see what happens for the next 4 weeks.

Hey... I don't blame you. You've seen good results with CKD. If it's working, and you enjoy it, why change.
Good luck!

Oh... I do have a question, since I'm currently doing a modified NHE... I'm curious about how many carbs you were having on carb up days.
I'm eating roughly 250 grams or so, split between the last two meals of the day. I'd like to tell you whether it's working but I'm not sure yet. I do feel strong, but I don't know if I've experienced any real growth yet.

MPS
3 R-ALA 10 minutes prior to carb up meal.
A typical NHE carb up meal for me was a baked potato, 1T butter and No fat sour cream. And 3 bowls of corn chex (or corn flakes) and skim milk.
Or a pouch of brown rice (Uncle Bens microwave) and three bowls of corn cheks and skim milk.

Thanks...
I just realized I haven't had cold cereal in a couple years. It sounds really good. I stopped eating it a couple years ago because I could seriously go through almost a whole box in one meal.
I used to mix different cereals together too.
Anyway, thanks for the info.
Mike

Yea I hear you there! I love the cereal part! I could eat a box too! I usually have to force myself to stop. I keep hearing in the back of my head "carbs are unlimited" "100 g Minimuim"
Then I rememeber reading something about stuffing yourself and insulin something...
Anyway.
I was doing CKD with dextrose. Per the Body Opus the amount of dextrose was 16g per Kg LBM which added up to 151g per meal every two hours.
I read on another CKD forum that I should lower the amount to about 10g per kg LMB. I am going to drop the amount and try that and see what happens.

OK I have been doing TKD for 2 weeks
229.2 this morning on the scale.
I have been feeling week and upped the dextrose to 50g pre workout. I was switch back to NHE last night but resisted and was rewarded this morning on the scale!.
I guess I hang in there on the TKD at 50g dextrose pre workout!
