Yeah, the menu looks good!

I've never had kippers, but I guess I could try...ploughman's lunches are perfect for nibbling, and especially if you're bored as heck with meat and salad... and roast beef or prime rib sounds pretty darn good, too (hold the taters).

Mary, the food there is very good -- very famous for the Scotch selection if that's what you like - I personally don't like scotch at all. As for kippers, not a chance I'd eat any, when I lived as a youngster in England, my family ate them, I can still recall the aweful smell. Anyway, if you want to try and set something up ....

Hey everyone!

If we'd like to do something again in February, the only day I have available is February 29 anytime, brunch, lunch or dinner.

Anyone interested? Oh, I know, it's Oscar night (is it?), but come out anyway...

Mary

P.S. Iklemiss, you're out of town, right? Why not make a day of shopping out of it? There's kippers in it for you...!

I am usually hanging around toronto anyway - Burlington tends to be a bit quiet after living in London! Think I will pass on the kippers though

Fish has just this effect on me - its never good and makes LCing a bit boring at times - not having that extra meat option

Sorry about the descriptive smilie

Vikki - where did you live in England?

Very pretty there, but I couldn't imagine living there again, having lived here all these years, maybe in my "golden years" I'll think about going back to the quieter life.

Hey hey

I hope everyone survived Valentine's Day intact, now remember, the hard part is resisting the junk that's now HALF PRICE!

So, sounds good for February 29, brunch, at Feathers pub, 962 Kingston Road at Scarbobough Road.

How about some feedback on a time? Is eleven-ish or noon-ish appropriate?

For anyone who doesn't know, the Beach is basically Queen Street East, near Woodbine and east. Please, click on the link Vikki provided to learn more about the resto Feathers!

So Mary and Vikki are in, and my roomie will likely come along, too.

Who else would like to come?

I am getting excited about the Ploughman's lunch!

Mary

FYI TTC: 502 Kingston Road Streetcar from Queen station (you need a transfer from where you get on the subway) or the 22Coxwell-Vic Park bus stops at the corner of Scarborough Rd and Kingston Road. Michele, if you want to come, maybe I can meet you on the subway line and we'll go together...
