Hey everybody! Hope all you PNWers are staying warm and cozy in the middle of your big storm. Cold weather always gets my metabolism going too (pretty logical that since you're burning more calories to stay warm that your appetite goes up).

BTW, I resolved my Sunday dilemna by going to the gym and doing my BFL cardio, coming back to the apartment and eating an apple and taking a nice bath. Then I wrote a seductive email to the LDR, who, being a man, came around just as one might expect. ;-) So, I did not eat Ben & Jerrys (Yay!)

I've been staying on plan both for eating and working out the past couple of days, but my calories are a bit low. This is no big deal for a day or two, but I worry sometimes whether I'll go into starvation mode.

I intentionally decided when I started up again that I would aim for 40-50 ECC every day. This has been working out really well for me as I am not having any cravings (other than emotionally induced ones) and I feel like I can more or less eat what I want. 30 was always difficult for me, then I'd go over, then I'd feel guilty, blah blah blah. This is much better for me - it just feels so easy.

Well my budget is a little tight so I cannot spend a lot of money on stuff I am just trying to make it through on ground beef and chicken with lc bread and wraps. I hope that I can come to the point that I eat only when hungry and only what I need. I am taking a vitamin/mineral supplement called emergen-c which is high in vitamin C and b-vitamins, and lots of minerals

ok so for a sample day like today

breakfast- 3 eggs and sausage patties and two lc wraps
water to drink

snack-nothing

lunch-two lc wraps filled with taco meat and cheese with lettuce

snack-none

dinner- same as lunch

I admit that I have been snacking on some smoked almonds because they are salty and taste so good.

So right now I have lots of ground chuck and chicken breasts, with plenty of low carb wraps, lc bread and buns are really inexpensive at winco also.

I haven't been messing with fruit because I have a tendency to make it a dessert food, and that has led me to eating more sugary stuff again. But I am dreaming of when all the berries will be in season again
