Default Kekwick Diet (or fat fast)

Atkins suggests that one only try this done for no more than 5 days a month and no more than five days at a time. 1000 calories a day 90% of which come from fat. It forces your body start losing again. 8 - 8oz glasses of water a day and a multivitamin with minerals. You can eat any five of the following options in a day, one about every four hours.
1 oz macadamia nuts
2oz cream cheese or brie
1 oz of tuna or chicken eith 2 tsp mayonaise served in a 1/4 of an avocado
2 deviled eggs with 2 tsp mayo
2 oz od sour cream and 2 tbsp black or red caviar
2.5 oz whipped heavy cream topped with sugar free syrup
2 oz pate (check label to ensure that most of the calories come from fat.

You can lose up to 10 pounds in five days. Hope this helps.

Default Lemon-Banana-Cranberry Bars

My newest recipie. I tried it today. It is good. Something like a cranberry loaf.
A little soggy on the bottom due to the cranberries but still feeds that sweet tooth, muffin missing, urge.

Lemon-Banana-Cranberry Bars

3 scoops vanilla protein powder
3 tsp baking powder
8 tsp Splenda
4 eggs
1/4 cup of Flax Seed oil (or olive oil)
1/4 cup water
1 cup cranberries
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 tsp lemon extract
2 tsp banana extract

Mix together dry ingredients. In separate bowl mix together eggs, oil,
and extracts & beat well. Add to dry ingredients to second mixture,
combining well. Add water and cranberries. Should be a wet consistency
like a cake mix. Pour into greased pan. Bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes.

Makes 4 bars; Approx 4.13 grams of carbs.

Taz & Carrot top - Atkin has it in his book, but only as a last chance WOE.

Taz - How long have you been in this stall? Review your carb intake and try exercising first before going through the drastic no carb measure. You have a lot less weight to loose than some of us and you will find it might take longer.

Start a journal in the journal section and post your menu each day for a week. Include everthing that you eat so we can see where the problem might be.

OK, Marge I will try that.....

4 weeks on the stall... first 3 weeks went well....... so it is not like it never did work, it did and then died.

I will keep the journal and then see after that.

That is the protien powder that I use in some of the recipies that I make. I would think that it is OK given that low-carb recipies use it! It is actually not bad for taste too!!

If it gets you to add more protien, why not. Look on the label and see how high the carb count is.

Taz, I notice your taking a multi vitamin. Try taking a chromium tablet once a day as well. It helps your cells work with the carbs better. My doctor actually recommended it to me.
